One-way clutch classification
Time:2019.08.23 Source: Clicks:

The role of the one-way clutch is to allow a component to rotate only in a certain direction and lock in the other direction.

can be divided into two types: roller type one-way clutch and wedge type one-way clutch.

Generally speaking, the former is more commonly used. Of course, in an automatic transmission, the use of a one-way clutch is not limited to an actuator, for example, a one-way clutch is also employed at the guide wheel support of the torque converter.

One-way clutches, commonly known as one-way bearings, are mechanical transmission bases that can only be driven in a single direction (clockwise or counterclockwise).

When the power source drives the passive component, it can only be driven in one direction. If the power source changes direction (for example, clockwise becomes counterclockwise), the passive component will automatically disengage from the function that does not generate any power transmission.

There are 4 specific categories:

1, backstop

2, overrunning clutch

3. Positioning clutch

4, transmitting torque clutch
